The Social Skills & Shyness Clinic
helps people learn how to create meaningful relationships. Its not a dating service or for single people exclusively, its about people and relationships. We teach people the skills necessary to meet strangers and start relationships. Some of those skills are nonverbal, some are verbal, some vocal and the most important ones are psychological.

Its founder, Richard Mohley, has helped thousands of people just like you to:

1. meet strangers
2. start conversations
3. build relationships

Because so many people are shy or just feel awkward around strangers, we start by:

Having Fun!

That's why we use the name of Meet Fun People…because while you're having fun, you don't notice how awkward you feel. (Okay, that's a little too simplistic. Our relationships are the way they are because of childhood defenses and irrational beliefs we've carried into adulthood. One way to alter those systems is to have new and better experiences. Another way is to consciously learn more constructive ways of thinking and behaving...this time as rational adults.) Also, you will meet fun people!

Most people have one or both of these difficulties:

Shyness - thoughts, feelings and/or beliefs which impede behaviors
    which lead to relationships

Social Skills Deficits - not knowing how to meet strangers

In order to overcome these difficulties, the Clinic helps its clients to:

1. Learn Positive Interpersonal Skills
2. Overcome Shyness
3. Practice the Skills in a safe environment

In the Social Shyness class we do the following:

1. Have fun!
2. Meet Some Strangers
3. Learn How To Meet More Strangers

Richard Mohley has taught social skills and shyness remediation for almost 20 years. In Oregon he is affiliated with Portland Community College. He holds a degree in sociology but is more importantly, a shy person much improved.
