Flirting Techniques
Courstship Gesturing (commonly called "flirting")
is Nature's perfectly healthy way of saying...
A. Look at me, and
B. If you approach me I won't object.
This is necessary because...well, in Nature, when one animal
tries to get close to another, its usually because one wants
to eat the other. That is a pretty powerful motivation to
keep their distance. But...in order to reproduce, two individuals
must get close.
Fortunately, Nature has provided a clever way of allowing
animals of the same species to get really close despite their
natural hesitency. Its called COURTSHIP!
Each species has it own peculiar dance of courtship. Although
the steps are largely hard wired in other animals, with humans
it can vary a lot. Think of courtship steps as the combination
to a lock. If you know how to put in the right numbers in
the right order, it works.
